Material Of Fiber Optic Patch Panel
The main material of our fiber optic patch panel is cold rolled steel sheet. Cold rolled steel sheet uses hot rolled coil as raw material, which is rolled at room temperature under the recrystallization temperature. Compared with hot rolled steel plate, the thickness of cold rolled steel plate is more accurate, and the surface is smooth and beautiful. Cold rolled steel plate is produced by cold rolling process. Generally the thickness of cold rolled plate is between 0.1--8.0mm, in real production, the thickness is less than 4.5mm, and we always use the one between 0.8mm to 2.0mm according to different design and structure. As for rack mounted fiber patch panel, wall mounted fiber distribution box, fiber terminal box, generally the default thickness of the panel is around 1.0mm to 1.2mm, as for ODF unit, the most part is 1.5mm. It is not the thicker the better, if the panel is too thick, the matching and anastomosis between panels will be not good enough, it will be much heavier to transport and the shipping cost will be added.
